WOW, well who needs reverse when you have a stick. Just throw it in neurtal and PUSH.

Its like moving a really big gokart. fing02.gif

All cars whine in reverse imports more and sticks even more more.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DTN @ May 7 2008, 04:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Reverse gear will always whine. It is not beveled and angled like the rest of the gears. reverse is straight up and down. the whine is the sound of the teeth chattering together. Less whine from a reverse gear is a sign of wearing.

It looks like your foot slipped off the clutch, after you put the car in reverse going 25-30 miles per hour. Am I right?</div>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Sorry you destroyed your transmission but why are you revving the engine at 4,000+ rpm when trying to engage reverse?</div>

that's what i'd kind of like to know as well. no question that our transmissions aren't the greatest, but to work well you have to treat them gently and will get rewarded with 200,000 miles of care-free driving. i think they were designed to be treated with gentle care unlike a porsche 02.gif
