I went to the CRMM car show this weekend in Simpsonville, SC.
I won Kids Favorite award. Meh.. It was a muscle car show. At least I didn't just get a "top 25" trophy. I was hoping for Best Tractor.
Here's some pix.

After the show my buddy and I went to lunch at Jack-in-the-Box. We saw a tiburon there! Here's a few pix of my car with the trophy, and a slightly modified RD1

Why would you bring a modified import to a muscle car show full of old people is beyond me.

not bad.. looks better with tinted tails.. still not a fan of the stripe.
you shoulda did that rd1 a favor, and lit it on fire, or cut about 6" off that muffler lol.
also confused on taking import to muscle car show..

Well, I sent an e-mail to the guy who was running the show explaining that I wouldn't want to be the "ricer" at a muscle car show. I'd rather be one of the guys in the tuner section.
He responded with this:
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><span style="font-family:Arial"><span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%"><span style="color:navy">Hi Adam,</span></span></span>
<span style="font-family:Arial"><span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%"><span style="color:navy">Great car! We have had a little of everything attend our show. My son drives a ’97 GTI ….but it doesn’t compare to yours. Our show is mostly about enjoying cars and raising funds so we don’t have categories like most shows. I attached our trophy list for you. Your car could win one of several trophies. I would say this though, don’t spend 5 hours cleaning your car for our show…..we aren’t that formal.</span></span></span>
<span style="font-family:Arial"><span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%"><span style="color:navy">Let me know if you think you will attend.</span></span></span>
<div align='center'><u>2008</u></div>
<u>3 post trophy </u> Best of Show
Best Corvette
Best Late Model
Best Foreign Car
Best GM
Best Ford
1st Place Youth
3 extras (blank)
Plates for blank trophies: Best Truck, Best Mustang, Best Tractor, Most Unique, Coolest
Qty of 12: Top 25</div>
It kinda sounded like there would be a much better variety of cars there. There were very few late model cars. "Late" model class was 1979 and newer.
