What: 5th Annual PNW Hyundai/Kia meet
When: THIS Saturday May 14th (with the option to stay overnight) 11am
Where: Cruise from the Bothell Staples to Leavenworth, WA
18434 120TH Ave NE,
Bothell, WA 98011
It's that time of year again! Time for Team X-Culture's annual season opener. Last year we cruised to Mt. Rainier. This year we are continuing the mountain theme but heading to the Bavarian village of Leavenworth, WA via scenic Hwy 2. This has been the BIGGEST Hyundai/KIA meet of the year in Washington State for the past 4 years, and this year we're hoping it'll be even bigger!
This event will be open to all Hyundai and Kia cars, and you're allowed to bring friends with other makes however for photography/videography purposes anyone without a Hyundai or Kia will be required to bring up the rear of the group and park at the ends for any photo ops. We love having everyone there that wants to come, but we also like showing solidarity with our pictures and videos.
The cruise route is 100 miles of beautiful mountain roads. Once we are in Leavenworth we will head up Icicle Rd for a fun twisty route and great photo opportunities.
While in Leavenworth we will have the opportunity to experience the Maifest festival, as well as take advantage of the tourist activities. Leavenworth is all about tourists, so there is something for just about everyone. Some of the attractions include wine tastings, Bavarian food, shopping ranging from fine art to funny tee shirts, and we can't forget the beer.
Anyone wanting to head home Saturday can cruise back together. For the people wanting to make the most of the weekend a group of us will be spending the night in Leavenworth.
Accommodations:
The best deal is at Evergreen Inn. http://www.evergreeninn.com/ You need to book one of the rooms that are named "400" for a one-night stay. Amy spoke with the front desk and they have availability, which most other places do not. It is $89 for a one-queen room (max occupancy 2) and $99 for a two-queen room (max occupancy 4). The website says $10 less but there is a premium since it is a one-night stay. If you want to book a room, I suggest you do it ASAP. They WILL sell out and you'll be stuck without a room.
Anyone traveling up through Tacoma is welcome to meet a group of us at the Tacoma Krispy Kreme off of I-5 exit 130 (In the Tacoma Mall parking lot) to cruise up together. We will be leaving the Krispy Kreme at 9:30am sharp heading to Bothell.

Lol. Yeah I was slow getting info out this year but we've done one every year and we have pretty good attendance.
Due to the number of tickets I was getting we cruise at no more than 5 over the speed limit now lol.
