I meant to post this yesterday, but couldn't think of how to say it.
Pat Newell, the pilot we helped at the Balloon Fiesta portion of the ABQ BBQ, passed away last weekend. He had another heart attack, and they couldn't do a bypass to help him out because of some serious heart damage. Pat was always a good friend, and I know he touched many of your hearts when you worked with him. I flew with Pat for many years, and will miss his calm demeanor and friendly heart.
Thanks for the friendship Pat, may you always have gentle landings, and calm breezes.

Late 60's, early 70's, participated in all but about 4 years of the over 30 years the Fiesta has gone on for.
