Who's Boosted?
I was boosted for a while last year ran a best 14.75 quarter at 95 mph, and hope to be again sometime soon. Are all of you guys running stock cast pistons? I ran into issues with my 1.6 with stock internals and broke off all the ringlands, which is fine, new/used low mile engine for $200 and back on the road. I want to boost again, but don't want to spend $1000 on a rebuild kit with forged pistons. I have everything sitting in the shop to do it again with the exception of the Neo I used last year. I would want to go standalone (MS2 v 3.57). How do you think stock pistons would hold up limiting the boost to 10 psi?

From what I've seen an all stock 1.6l with a good tune should hold up to 10PSI but that's about the limit. Even at that you'll have to be sure to not abuse the engine.

i fall in love with it all over again every day on the way home from work.
for some reason people love to pick on a green and primered accent with an apexi muffler.
