What Engine is better to boost?

Why does it matter? To be honest, if you are wanting to run boost, you are probably planning on doing it on your current engine. If you were to want to swap to a beta 2, you would have issues. You'd need to swap the wiring harness, the ECU, and TONS of stuff.
Aren't all cars in Europe MAP? For some reason I thought they were the same, and the U.S was the oddball with Hyundais.
Either way, unless your boosting the piss out of it, like more than 420 crank HP, it won't make much of a difference. Except the Beta I is a more proven turbo block, as many people in Western civilization have turboed it and have had no problems and there is more aftermarket parts and support available for it.

2nd Gen Betas aren't MAP.

Don't see why. The only difference between the two is the combustion chamber and other minor details. You can rev it higher with less engine work, but the gearing on that thing with a turbo would be hell to drive.
