I did get the CEL checked..it was the o2 sensor and tps sensor and i got those changed.

The only improvement is that i dont stall anymore and the low end is okay. However, today i was driving up to NY and on the interstate and going up a hill my tib slowed down and started misfiring..i pulled over and my dad looked at it but from just looking you cant really tell what the problem is. I drove behind him in his Chrysler and as I was driving I noticed at points the tib let out black smoke and then at one point blue smoke. So i dont know. I have no car up here in NY as my car is back in NJ..I have to buy a spare one or im screwed. My dad is going to take a look at my car and try and do something with it but right now we are both clueless as to what the real problem is.

The bov is not recirculated and it needs to be unhooked because if it is hooked up the car doesnt idle well.

IMO, I think that when my tranny episode happened where my tranny fluid went everywhere including into my intake manifold it reall messed something up in the engine. I dont know..this is all just screwed up.

Okay, since you replaced those parts, any more CEL's?

How many driving cycles have you done since replacement?

Have you checked your plugs and wires?

Well, let's take it one step at a time and figure it out.

Have you run any fuel injector cleaner through? Checked all the bolts and nuts around the engine bay for tightness? Check the turbo manifold for warpage or leaks (It IS a Speed Factor Manifold right?). Check the ENTIRE engine bay for vaccum or exhaust leaks? Check for boost leaks? Check the turbo for leakage or evidence of burning lots of oil?

I'm starting to think you may have some boost leakage somewhere, if it's driving fine at lower RPM's.

Also, try what Dmitry was saying, BORROW a clean MAF from someone, and swap it with yours.

Where is your MAF located now?

your not supposed to run fuel injector cleaner threw a turbo...it says so right on the bottle

and if your unsure about checkin for vaccum leaks you use a can of brake cleaner and spray around the vaccum lines if the motor changes idle thats where your leak is at

I just changed my spark plugs a couple hundred miles ago..so it cant be that but i might have to change them again since it was misfiring. my turbo manifold is fine..my dad just fixed the leak that was there.

My dad is going to look at the car, I just need to tell him what to look at really so your guys input really helps. Im leaning towards a bad MAF, a vacuum leak somewhere, or the worst a bad ECU. my friend who intalled my turbo timer obviously didnt do it right since the car doesnt stay on with the timer on like its supposed too. He could have messed up a wire and thats it. Its so hard to figure this out..it could be a small thing or a huge thing.

I think you need to have your car tuned the right way, instead of looking at your rpm reading look at your boost gauge and see if you engine cuts of at a certain boost level, I bet as soon as your hitting boost of 2-3 pounds your car dies out since it is either getting to much or not enough fuel under boost due to your lack of tuningh, your getting a tps and 02 sensor code because your not properly tuned, when your car is boosting in it's current state your stock ecu sees that your maf is reading more air than that throttle position should allow and your o2 sensor is either going to rich or to lean and since your stock ecu can't tell that you have a turbo it says one of the sensors must be bad and giving a bad reading, I had this problem when I first installed my turbo and after tuning the car the right way it was fine, with my car it turned out I was going hella rich as soon as I started boosting either at full throttle or partial throttle and I was just drowning out my cylinders, once I hooked up my wideband and started to tune my piggyback ecu it just got better and better and now it runs fine, your best bet would be to get yourself a wideband o2 reader before you blow your motor to hell, the key to any turbo setup is the proper tuning otherwise it just won't work.

I cut off once I hit 5-6 lbs of boost. I want to tune the carf but I was told from a source that I have to get the fuel cut off thing fixed before i can get my smt6 installed and tuned. Guess he was wrong?

Thanks for the advice, it really made a lot of sense. smile.gif
