Default walbro fuel pump questions

Are walbro fuel pumps universal or are they made for certain cars. I saw a brand new walbro 255 for sale locally but its for a different car. I was wondering if it will work in my car or would I need to get one for a Hyundai specifically. I only ask because I dont want to wait for shipping and its a good deal

How is this not a question for Walbro?

Beware of good deals . . . counterfeits are getting pretty close, visually. Quality can be . . . spotty.

There is quite a lot of copies outthere and due to that I did not use Walbro but instead ordered a Genesis Coupe 3.8 fuel pump and it works perfectly and got it cheaper than Walbro in the end ;-)

I'm guessing he meant a HYUNDAI gencoupe pump. Designed for 2x the engine displacement almost, it will probably be more than enough for a moderate turbo build.

^^You got it right I did not use Walbro but Hyundai's Genesis Coupe 3.8L pump (it is the same used in 2.0T model as well in some Sonatas and Genesis Sedan) ;-)

Are they close enough in size to fit the stock mount or what did you do if not?

Same size as OEM fitted to stock mount perfectly without any mods.

Not sure how much was it but it was cheaper than Walbro here in Croatia and it is original. Ordered directly from Korea from a registered replacement parts MOBIS (Hyundai/KIA/Chevrolet) distributor through their closed ordering system. Received in original packaging with hologram on box and internal packaging. Whole process of ordering is also only possibly by using official Hyundai replacement parts catalogue numbering.
