valve spring removal.....

Default valve spring removal.....

ok ive tried to remove theese badboys its a beta 1, cant use the spring compressor cuz the valve springs are not overhead, the hammer trick dont work, how do you guys remove theese things?

valve spring compressor tool...

probably have to take the cylinder head off.

Have to take the head off to take the springs off the right way. The tool holds the valve in place and compresses the spring down so you can remove the retainer.

ya i bought one but the certain one i bought was an overhead spring compressor, didnt work i dont know where i can get one of theese? anyother ways to do it without the special tool, btw head is off building the motor ground up

Doesn't need to be from Snap-On, any brand will work. The important part is that it works by grabbing the spring coils and pushes down on the retainer.

The snap on one is the same style one i have. This motor dosent have overhead valve spring.

thanks guys, you guys are awesome, btw i got one valve out today using a tool i made from an o2 sensor socket, worked ok, then i was trying to remove the valve guides not so easy, i ended up breakin the end of it where the combustion chamber is );;
