I know people have talked about the unichip before, and how no one likes it because u need to take it to a certified unichip tuner.. well i have one that i found within 50 miles of me.. lucky me..
right now i have the emanage with all harnesses and what not.
does anyone know the extents of what the unichip can or cant do? i was thinking of scrapping the rest and just going with the unichip since i have someone who can tune it in the area.. sorry to post about this but i dont believe this specific type of topic has been discussed.
from what i heard, they can basically remap whatever they want with it, but i dont know if thats neccessarily true. anyone have experience. reccomendations, etc..

What I would do is contact your local Unichip tuner, and find out what they are comfortable doing. Just because the ECU CAN do something, if the tuner is unwilling or not competent, you might as well not do it. For example, the Unichip can drive up to 8 injectors. However, every tuner I contacted was unwilling to tune an auxillary set of 4 injectors.
The Unichip is still handcuffed by the stock ECU, so most of the limitations are stock, not within the Unichip.
