I think if this idea were to WORK, I don't remember who posted it, but you put one huge capacitor in your trunk to create enough current to make a noticable difference.

But its true, your gonna get chewed out very badly.

I guess the question then would be, why doesn't everyone do it? Its cheap, its been around for years, so....

Of course, if you really insist - you could build one yourself and throw away a little less money:

Why sell your aos ? It says it works fine with an aftermarket tube. You can either put it on the end or splice in the middle.
Don't understand that.
The dynos on their page look convincing, tho!

Go to www.tornadoair.com Will you buy their product based off their dyno's too?

To put it simply. Dyno's can lie. Dyno's can be altered with any photo editing software. You can setup rules and restriction on dyno testing to show that they make HP. (read below)

If you do a search on this board on "electric supercharger" you will find MANY threads where the theory of the electric supercharger is ripped to shreds.

#1. They can not put out the required air flow. The motors take time to spin up. This means lost throttle response, lost HP and torque.
#2. The electrical requirements for a "real" boost electric supercharger far exceed the capability of the stock alternator.
#3. The Device poses a restriction to the incoming air when it is not running.

BV1
The E-Ram has been tested on many other cars, and NOT tested by E-Ram, and has been shown to LOOSE torque on the low end, gain midly in the midrange, and loose HP on the top end. They were also reported to be a horrible restriction when not running(Not WOT), lowering gas mileage, throttle response and power.

Their guarantee is worthless. The guarantee states that you must run the car with the E-ram installed, but not running for your baseline test, then run with the e-ram running. You must show a less that 4% increase to get your money back.

The E-ram itself is such a restriction on the intake system, that the 4% gain is just the electric motor being turned on to compensate for the restricion of the fan itself. They make no guarantee of 4% over stock, or even 4% over modified (CAI) cars. If you notice...the list of cars that do NOT show an increase in power are all small displacement long stroke motors like ours.
(Nissan Sentra SER (Nissan G20 2L engine)
Infinity G20 (Nissan G20 2L engine)
Pontiac Grand Am 2.4L (GM 2.4L engine)
Chevy Cavalier Z24 (GM 2.4L engine)

Also the BTB/BIM combo does NOT Deliver 7 HP. It has been dyno'd at 3.5HP and 3.2 Ft lbs of torque. A far cry from 7 HP. I would like to know where you got your 7HP figure from.

All in all, you would be better off to invest your $300 in headers for GUARANTEE'D HP, or Nitrous, not in a little electric fan.

Please tell me which model/brand electric leaf blower you use, and how you get it to pump out enough air for 8 PSI. How do you measure the positive pressure?

tony i used a regular autometer boost gauge. i dont know where my friend hooked it up to but it did work. i even read vacume psi. i have blower at work its one of the ones i borrowed when i go to work ill get you the name and everything else. but the actual blower you can adjust the air flow. but i also did not run an air filter. but i just got like dryer hose and water heater items and used alot of duct tape. ive got to get car smoged but after i do ill try and hook it back up come down and show you. but the genious behind everything is actually trying to fabricate a little something else for more power
