Would there be anything preventing me, aside from money, from running both a turbo and a supercharger like my roommate's MR2? This is a curiosity sort of thing; something for the long run considerations.

Even if it turns out to be extraordinarily complicated, that's not a concern. Is it possible?

Same thing goes for a custom exhaust manifold feeding a twin-turbo setup. Space, I think, is an obstacle for that one, among other things (heat).

Of course it can be done but if money isn't an issue for you, why not convert to AWD running gear while you're at it?

yeah, they can both be done, but do you have 10k to do it? if i were to do a unique setup, just more for looks, i would prob go with two seperate turbo manifolds, with two small turbos..

some guy on hp.com has supercharger, turbo, and nitrous on his accent..

anything can be done with unlimited funds though$$$..

running super and turbo would be quite easy actually. get a roots style (alpine) supercharger, and their turbo kit, and voila, turbo and supercharged.. dmdicks actually has both in his car..

You would need a small turbo becuase cant you blow up the s/c if the turbo is too powerful. Though if money isnt a problem Im sure you could work around that!

What is that large box on the far side of the display engine with the hoses routed in and out? Is that some sort of refridgerative cooling system?

I do believe thats an air/water intercooler, theres no point in having both a water/air and an air/air but i believe they just wanted to show both since its a car show.
