u can also have white smoke. theres many things that can go wrong with a turbo. if u mean ways to tell with it off the car, there are no set ways other then sending it out to a turbo shop to have it tested.

Ok... yesterday I was trying to heard something..... When I pushed the gas pedal, the turbo gauge begin to raise until 10 PSI... it looks that it don't goes up as fast as a week ago... the weird thing is that a week ago, the boost goes up at 14 PSI and the damm boost leak lower the PSI at 7-8PSI...

At 9 or 10 PSI I heard like the sound make by a cat or sound like "buuuiiiiiii"

Is that means that My turbo died??? or maybe it don't have enoguh oil to lubricate??

Did you say you had a leak? If so there is your problem your turbo is working EXTRA hard to maintain 7-8 psi.

Ok.-. I just take out the air filter pipe of the Turbine side..... The blades and everything inside has oil in it...... Is that a very bad sign.... right???

So i'm planing to buy this kit:

T3 Rebuild Kit

BTW... how do I know if my turbo is a "CARBON SEAL ASSEMBLY" type

im going to take a stab here and say yes!
i cant tell you what to do, but i'll tell you what I would do. i would take your turbo and the rebuild kit to a reputable shop and ask them to rebuild it for you.
but...thats what i would do only due to the fact that i've never rebuilt a turbo before and i have a certain lack of knowledge when it comes to rebuilding a turbo. i'm pretty sure once you do it, it'll be ok, but say you rebuild it yourself. how will you test it? slap it back on and pray that it doesnt come apart and shatter?

in truth u cant just rebuild the turbo yourself. the turbo needs to be balanced by a shop in order to last. think of it this way, when ur tires on your car arent balenced. the car shakes like hell. now keep in mind the turbo spins over 5X faster then your wheels. its very important that its balenced.

turbine spindel spins up to 120,000-200,000 RPM, you definately need balancing
