I have a small Turbo Project my Goal is 275bhp Max.



I Finshed the engine rebuild fitting forged parts. (14Psi)



Im really scaryed how the gearbox will react with the Extra power.





Should i be worried about the extra power with the gearbox ?

 

Change the trans fluid to Redline MT90 and don't be too harsh with the launches and gearshift changes and you should be fine. Make sure you have a clutch that can handle the power as well.

 

Just be easy boosting high in 5th gear also.

 

But that is the best part

 

do new Beta Engine have better gearboxs ?



I have a Mk1 Tib Box. (covered 78,000 miles) is the newer ones any better or stronger ?
