Planning my turbo setup for the near future, just going to build it up and stay away from a "kit." I was wondering what brands/products you all prefer to use. Whether it's a favorite turbo that really gives you some good boost or the manifold, let me know what you prefer i'd really appreciate any suggestions/tips. I've been looking at a t3/t4 hybrid as of right now but im open to changing that...

Thanks in advance

Well first off your going to have to tell us your goals. if you want 500 whp your gonna want a different turbo than if you want 200.

for up to 275ish youd be all set with a T3, id recommend it, by 2k im already at max boost, but ive got a ramhead equal length manifold that allows you to spool quicker

let us know specificly what parts of your custom kit your trying to figure out what you want

I'm really only looking to push overall around 300whp in time... I'm not trying to turn my car into a full fledged racecare, but i'm also not looking to just boost 5psi to say "hey, ive got a turbo!" I would like to push it to at least 200whp with my first setup, and then tune to the sound of up to 300 or so... not looking to dump $20,000 into a turbo setup but I do want the funcionality and added horsepower of a good quality setup.

I just was looking for suggestions of specific parts:
manifolds
turbos
engine/fuel management systems (im getting a laptop cheap, what would work?)
BOV's
injectors
fuel pump
oil drain/feed lines
charge pipes
GOOD intercooler
wastegate (should i look for an internal wastegated turbo, or get an external?)

pretty much looking for suggestions of all the required componants of a good turbo package that ill be putting together in the future... thanks

External Wastegate...

Check out for a SMT6 for something between 200 and 275HP... or get an standalone if you want more than 300WHP...

Just spend for quality parts, especially on the fuel delivery system...

BTW... You forgot a new Clutch.... fing02.gif

For our cars (and most cars for that matter) there is a pretty big difference between 200 and 300 HP when it comes to your turbo setup. You could do something that would get your roughly 200WHP for a like $1,500, but your gonna max that setup out at about 200WHP. So you really gotta figure out what you wanna do money wise. There is a big difference in what kind of a parts and how much motor work youll have to do with that spread.

Also just try searching or browsing the Extreme Mods section of this forum. Almost ALL of the questions that youll ever have have already been asked and answered.

My fault, I am being too vague I suppose... In the end, I hope to be pushing at least 300whp after its all said and done. I already plan on getting a new clutch, probobly VHR. You're right when you say spend for quality, I want it done right, with minimal drawbacks so trust me i'm not going to go cheapo on this project.

Thanks for the replies keep them coming it is greatly appreciated.
