I like to pull mine from a sandwich plate using a restrictor. This is the best place to pull it since the oil you're using comes directly out of the oil filter. It is cooler and cleaner because it has not passed through the entire engine first.
I also find it as a more reliable pressure source.

is this the restrictor that you're talking about? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turbo-Oil-R...sspagenameZWDVW

does anyone know if that restrictor will be restrictive enough for a td04?

So no one knows about that bolt? If I pull it out and oil comes out should it work? I mean its like 3 inches directly horizontal to the allen

why not just use the bolt that everyone uses? i think i know what your talking about, but why not use the one RIGHT on the side. the fitting is easy as hell to get at any hardware store (1/8NPT)

if you get oil from the head, you wont need a restrictor

the best way is to do it the way jon is doing his. i will be changing mine to this way as soon as i get a restrictor. ( i have an extra spot in my sandwhich plate for the oil feed.

jon, what size restrictor did you use on yours?

The allen head bolt? Because like in my first post, it's not budging, I've tried everything I can think of except for drilling it out and getting the shavings out like what supercow was talking about.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll let you all know what I decide to do and what the outcome is.
