actually it is safe to have BOTH.
A knock light would be VERY useful. It could have saved me an engine sad.gif
The only problem i see with that auction is that your paying 120 for the LIGHT only. It does not include a knock sensor.
If you are using the stock ECU, then you can just reuse the stock one. I would research this further, you might be able to rig up your own Knock light or find one cheaper.
Also forced induction engines dont like stoich all the time wink1.gif
You could have a nicely tuned car,.. but that one stop you from pinging on a hot day or on a day that you fill up with "bad" gas...
Sh!t happens man... all the time. sad.gif

wink1.gif wink1.gif .. i am not sure but buy the time that thing blinks to tell you, that the engine is knocking, it is to late??
better to run a "little" bit rich, then to go "BOOM"
if i am wrong correct me. laugh.gif

i agree with you ^^^^ i have my wideband and it warns me when im running lean, hence why i need tuning, and when tuned i will be running a bit rich.. no need to try squeezing the extra few ponies out of the motor and have to worry about running lean or what not..

A motor is going to knock all the time. The ECU just reads it and retards the timing enough to keep the knocking low. If it's low enough, then the ECU will add timing. It's constantly adjusting.
Stoich (14.7:1) is never good on a FI car. They usually like around 12:1
