Default Turbo kit....

i *think* it was 2kwagon (or someone like that) that told me about a company who sold turbo kits that included pistons, and all for right around $2000. ive spent the last 2 days looking over the forum, running searches, etc but cant find the post where he sent me the link. i found basicly the same thing over at the KORE site, but they want $4000 eek! thats twice the original price that i saw for *exactly* the same thing! im almost 100% sure that the kit didnt come from KORE though but it was a T3/T4 Hybrid with all plumbing, low compression pistons, etc...

any help would be appreciated!

also... does anyone know what the alpine kit goes for nowadays?

yes... this is the exact kit i was talking about. only when i was quoted $2000 (you are talking US dollars correct?) the kit included pistons, rings (obviously) bearings, intercooler, t3/t4 hybrid...
i dont remember it including the ECU though.

personaly i wish someone would sell kits that you can work into. like... something around 2000 or 3000 USD. i can come up with 2000 within the next 2 weeks... but it would take me over 6 months to get 4400! and by the time i got that the price will have probibly gone up even more.

i guess what im wondering is; do you sell a kit that doesnt cost so darn much lol. i want a turbocharged car, but i cannot afford 4K right now. 2K and im golden. please let me know if you have anything in this price range. -- or what i can start out with. thanks!

Like most things, you pay to play. Cheap and turbocharging are two things that should never be said in the same sentence. If you don't have the money, just save up. The turbo isn't going anywhere.

The Alpine turbo is not a complete kit. Expect to spend at least another $1000 in parts to get it running. (clutch, blow off valve, boost gauge)

In that respect you're getting close to the price of the Ballastics turbo kit.
