Default turbo is done

well i have 211whp and 225 ftlbs of torque at 7psi with stock internals. i am running T3/T4 with s-afc and msd, a walboro 255 fuel pump and aem fpr, i have the spearco fmic and a 2 3/4 down pipe. current injectors are rc370 but i will be going 440 soon. i think the stock exhaust is causing a little restriction. we ran it in 6 times while i was there and maxed it to 211whp but after i left the shop the guys were still tuning. i think i am safe with 7psi for now till i get the pistons, rods and haltech installed.
we kinda wanted to see what the car had in her while mostly stock, pretty good i guess, i am happy.
any tips for further tuning would be great.

Are you using stock compression too? Or did you use a head-spacer/thicker gasket?

That's a good number, a slight bit better than I expected but you're using a good turbo and IC so it's entirely possible. I'm betting with that HP number that you're using the stock compression.

You're pretty close to what the stock pistons are safely able to deal with, so just make sure you feed it good gasoline and be a tad conservative on the tuning. Otherwise, looks like a solid setup! Good job smile.gif

yea, all stock compression. the only thing we removed was the power steering pump just to have more room. no head spacer or thicker head gasket. after a while we will be doing the forged rods and pistons. i am a happy camper though.

thanks guys.

And you can still drive it safely? I removed my belt once to try it out and it sucked.

congrats! As Red stated, be careful on the tuning with those stock pistions. always use High Octane fuel.

JohnGTR-
Just removing the power steering belt means you must manually move the fluid. (no power but your arms) No wonder you didn't like it. What you need to do is drain all the fluid from the lines, and drain about half of the fluid from the steering rack. You leave some fluid there to lubricate and prevent rust/corrosion. Then you should notice it's only a minor difference at slow speed, but when 100% stopped...it's sorta hard.

WOW that is some very good numbers at 7psi of boost eek!
Are you running an External or Internal wastegate with your Turbo set-up?
Also was your Boost consistant at 7psi all the way throughout the gears and Redline? smile.gif
Thanks! smile.gif smile.gif

i am running a tial external wastegate and a blitz dd bov.it is pretty much right on throughout the rpm but it is not very smooth when it first hits boost. i get a jerky feeling, then it levels out around 5200 due to timing. they took out 6 deg to be safe. my a/f i think is around 10.2
as for the power steering, we are going to put it back in. we just wanted to try it without due to room. when we disconnected it, we took the whole pump out and drained some fluid then blocked the lines.

hey yuri, i will get up with you bro. going to VA this weekend but i will give you a call when i get back.

thanks for all the props guys

new update: the jerking feeling is gone now. we are controlling the boost using the wastegate instaed of boost controller. i was getting overboost to 1 bar a little bit ago and we unhooked the boost controller from the wastegate and now it is very smooth pull all through the rpm and it is very steady at 7lbs
very smooth at idle but boggs a little when you come to a stop, no stalls yet.
by the way yuri, thanks for the help on the idle problem much smother than before. car runs normal now.
