Turbo for 1.6! YES!!!!
#2
If I'm not mistaken, that's the Alpine Kit their selling. Could be wrong though. But if I'm not wrong, go ahead and ask resident Alpine utilizer Random what he thinks of it and see how quick you click "Purchase." wink.gif

No, that's the RPW kit from Australia. It's not complete. I've spoken to Cedrick at Phanthom Racing. He's a good guy (slow on returning e-mail and phone calls, though).
From the Phillipines, you'd probably be better served ordering from Australia directly, unless there's a huge advantage in the currency exchanges.

Shark Racing will be carring the RPW line of stuff shortly.
There are turbo kits for the 1.5 SOHC, 1.5 DOHC, and 1.6L. Power output is listed at 127 KW or 170 HP. That is with stock engine internals (pistions and rods) and a thicker copper gasket to lower static compression. (6-10 PSI with intercooler)
In theory, the kit is capable of higher boost levels and higher HP levels, but the Pistions would have to be replaced with lower compression units. Also, I'm not sure what the Alpha engine block and crank are capable off. I know the Beta's block and crank are good to 600 Wheel HP in korea, but I have no idea how strong the Alpha block and crank are. Cheuk in Soul would be the best person to answer that question. If the Alpha's good to 300 HP, that just might be a viable option for you Accent owners. If the Alpha breaks down at 200 HP...then it might not be worth it, and you might want to look into a beta motor swap.

At 180whp she blew 2 pistons. So yes the stock Alpha will break once 200hp as been hit. The pistons are the weak link, just like the Beta. Her car had about 270hp and it held up fine. The crank is beefy and the deck is solid like the Beta. Just replace the pistons and rod and you should be fine to atleast 400hp.

As I said, it will be up on the SR racing site too. The details will be posted at that time. All the parts that the kit includes, and all the "optional" parts as well.
Bradley's in Korea, so he cannot update the site now. He comes back on tuesday, so expect the update within a week.
You can have upgraded pistons made (ross) and upgraded rods (crower), as long as you have the $500 to $700 to spend on each set. I would go with the kit "as is" and see how you like it, then buy a "spare" alpha motor to build up to "boost spec" for running insanely High boost levels to go over 200 HP.

My apologies to you for not included you as a source of Accent engine knowledge. My apologies. As someone who as built up an accent to insane levels, you are the best source we have in the USA!

Australia would be the place to get a turbo kit for the 1.5 / 1.6 L engines.
We have installed a couple but are not popular here in Korea because a BRAND NEW Beta is around $1000... and people prefer to just upgrade to a beta and then turbocharge it.
The kits we use are from Australia... the cast exhaust manifold and the piping. We usually use a T25 Garrett.
