Default turbo '00??

If i added a turbo to my '00 (60k miles) and ran it at a relatively low psi, lets say....9? how detrimental to the engine would it be??

Speedy is right. 9 really isn't a low boost number... Tibs are take rather well to boost stock, most other cars can only run 5-7. If you want to run 9, your going to need better fuel supply and tuning.

im going to go with the speed factor extreme prolly...got 1g saved up and ill start low(5psi) like you should and just keep upping it until it feels comfortable... prolly not get over ten unless im going to the track... i do wanna take out that wrx i drove eventually... the guy who owns it turned into a arse hole, hes always like "haha mine came turbocharged... 300 horses and i havent even done anything yet, wanna race?" and i have raced him before with my stock tibby just for fun...needless to say he killed me.. erg, oh yah it was at a track too...

WRX's are slow unless he modified it to 300. They only put down 180 to the wheels tongue.gif AWD is what saves them. Any car putting down 160whp can take them from a roll. tongue.gif

is it a base WRX or WRX STI? If it's an STI then he does in fact have 300 hp.
