When i pulled off my exhaust manifold i found a bit of oil in my number#3 cylinder....
Did a compression test and was reading 167psi across with 3 cranks..I do have a compression ratio of 8.7:1

Do you guys think its a Head gasket?
Nothing is puffing out of th exhaust. cool.gif

My second question is regarding my new exhaust with High flow cat i installed.I previously had a 3 inch crush bend exhaust with an Apex I muffler and now i have a mandrel bend exhaust with a different muffler installed.I also installed 4 new rubber hangers...
For some reason my car at idle is a bit more rough.Im thinking since my exhaust does sound louder with a deeper sound its actually causing the car to be a bit more rough....I could be wrong but would appreciate some input
BTW i do have Urathane motor mounts installed at the bottom nana.gif

rough idle... that's a good question. I'm the king of rough idle. I've experimented and found every cause of rough idle immaginable... This is because my steering wheel shakes and it drives me up the frickin' wall when the idle gets slighly rougher..

Here's a list of things to check for rough ilde....
Spark plug gap
Spark plug wire ohms should be less then 10,000/foot
Fuel filter
PCV system
PCV drain in cover clogged causing:
a. dirty maf
b. clogged breather
c. clogged pcv lines
d. chronic PCV cloggs
Warped flywheel/clutch
vacuum leak
hose clamps touching tower bar
Solid motor mounts

I've had every problem up there. Now go fix it, and let me know if you figure out my shaking steering wheel problem in the process.

Why did you lower compression?
