Progress on the wire tuck, sorry or the crap pics it was getting dark and the flash made things worse for some reason. I am finishing up the adapter plate to relocate the IAC and have to connect the back up light sensor, at that point it will be finished...I did get to finally crank the motor over today with the fuel relay out, there was a HUGE amount of work done in the nice weather today...just in time for crap weather for the next 2 days.

Its a feature with the Mega Squirt that will allow me to keep WOT while shifting, timing is retarded in order to maintain boost level, push the clutch in and shift gears...no loss of pressure = faster 1/4!

Maybe I am missing the point, but why do a wire tuck and then use big blue wires across the middle?

Blue is just to accent a little, I will be getting a shorter oil feed line which is the big swooping one from the left side of the motor...the only "blue wires" are the spark plug wires, everything else is tubing for Vac ports.

I am going to run a set of 10" SPAL pusher fans on the front side of the rad.

Why run pushers, you have plent of room for 2 x 12" suckers?

Looks absolutely clean, Good job, where did you run the wiring after all? I have always been keen to do this especially while the motor is out but i dont know where to start or what to do.

Cheers Ryan

Here are a few photos from the start of the project, all the engine bay wires travel inside the fender of the driver side, lights/horns/fans go under the front cross member. All the wires required extending at first and once I began placing sensors where they belong and hid them in the engine bay the wires had to be shortened again. There was a lot of soldering and heat shrinking but in the end I never had any wires confused. This project would have been a lot harder with the blower unit still in the car, it was removed and I am able to crawl up behind the dash to do work.

The fuse box remains in the engine bay and a 2" hole was cut into the body which is circled in red in the picture, this is where all wires poked through into the fender. In the 2nd and 3rd pics are the wires that fed across the firewall and back into the cabin behind the dash, they were all cut and extended 48".
