Well i recently bought a treadstone mani off of a fellow member(awesome btw) and planned on using an internally gated turbo. But I got a great deal on a Tial 38mm wastegate and wanted to know if I could somehow modify the manifold to accept the wastegate? I mean I could weld a flange on the manifold and do it that way or is there some other way that I could do this? Is welding stainless steel to cast iron a wise thing to do? Thanks if you would.

I wouldn't do that, I would just go internal gate.
If you got such a great deal on the wastegate, buy it and sell it on ebay haha

^^ I agree

you would have to find someone that can braze a flange, good luck with that cause that is "old school welding".

38mm eh? a actual Tial or a knockoff?

scrap the external WG, you wont need it. just go with an internal gate.

What everyone else said. I doubt you will run enough boost to see the EWG be worth it.

That manifold is gonna be the strongest thing on your car, "don't fix what isn't broken."

no its an actual tial 38mm. But ive heard that maybe there is a flange that could go between the mani and turbo that had a EWG flange on it. Dont know if this is true or not. If it is can somebody point me in the right direction? What is brazing a flange?

Im going to be running 10-12psi on a to4e spinny thing. lol.

again, DONT USE IT. SELL IT!!!! use the money for something else. you won't need it.

there is a flange thats available online to adapt to a external wastegate but it wouldnt work with a treadstone anyway.

t04e is to big of a turbo for you, get a T3.

Once again, more trouble than it is worth just sell it and use the money else where. LOL at 12psi, it is not enough boost for the ewg to be beneficial. You wana be runing 20 plus for an ewg to really make a difference.
