Well after I'm dont with the body work I was thinkin of makin it into a sleeper. My question is could I boost it at 7-8 psi with stock internals, I really dont know how stong the internals are on the tib. How much HP could I expect to get out of it? Thanks

yes 7-8 would be fine with stock internals, you can take it up to 13-14 lbs and still have complete peace of mind, and some have taken it up to 16-17 on stock internals and stock compression but thats pushing it.

and at 7-8 pounds with decent tuning and some good complementing mods youd be looking at 200-220whp depending on altitude, temperature, supporting mods, compression, and luck, lol

I'm puttin one in on wednesday with stock internals at 8 psi until I find time to throw some pistons in there. If something terrible happens, I'll warn you but nothing should go wrong (fingers crossed) haha

7-8 psi should be fine with stock internals; its when you get over 10psi that you have to start doing the big stuff. Putting in low comp pistons (for example) now at such a low psi would make you lose some whp.

imma be pushing 14psi on stock internals which is perfectly fine if you have a good tune, and it shouldn't be a problem at all, but if you dont have very good fuel management, you dont wanna push over 8psi.

yah you have to be able to fine tune the afr to dare breaking double digit boost, safc/fmu wont cut it

you need smt/uni/emanage/standalone/etc

you will need the following

new rod/main bearings

1.8L rods and pistions "if you want to go up to 400whp"

oil pump "XD VVT" has a higer psi so you can run "oil cooler, turbo" its the standard over here on any build if you want more oil psi open the pressure release bolt and put a 10mm bolt in there.. we have done it

gasket set top and bottom end

change out the timeing belt and waterpump while you doing it..

new "oem" intake/exhaust valves with valve seals

check all clearances on the mains/rods/pistions

boost away

turbo parts

FPG

255 in-tank

550cc inj or what everyou want to run..

wastegate/BOV/Fmic

3'down and exhaust pipe

cams street 268 high power and top end 272

since you are running airflow you will need to get a standalone
