ok well now that I've had the tib running boosted for a while I'm going to try to up the boost but I can't seem to get anywhere.
when I first started it wasn't registering any boost. so I turned the acuator rod in 5 half turns. I've repeated this process about 4 times until there is bearly any rod left (like 1/2") and I'm only at 5 psi max boost in 4th gear. in 1-3rd gear I max out between 3-4.
what do you guys think. bad acuator? also will a boost controller help with loosing boost in 2nd gear? (peak at 4k then it starts dropping)
thanks! I'll probably be able to check this on tues. I'm going to be gone all weekend where there is no internet... smile.gif

supercow,
you wont be able to adjust the boost UP by just adjusting the actuator rod... that is only used to calibrate and as a initial setting for the actuator as the lowest boost possible. once this was set, don't play around with it anymore... actually by adjusting the rod you can only lower the boost not increase it
do as what alex is suggesting, get a boost controller... a manual, bleeder type should be fine for this

You also can check if the screws of the compressor are tightened....
Maybe you have a boost leak.... if it so, then you are damagind the turbo because the overspooling...
so watch out...

so the acuator is to set the lowest boost you want to run? or should i set it so it bearly registers 1psi??
and yes it's a t3 super 60
well I won a boost controller, looks nice, get goods reviews but most importantly it was $26

couple of final q's
1. what boost should I set the acuator too? I'm guessing just leave it where it's at (it's at the lowest boost I'd ever want to run 3-5 psi).
2. anyone used forge products before, I hadn't heard of them, seems to be a smaller group. apparently they are popular with the evo crowd.
