On cars with a big supercharger with the scoop bolted on top and sticking out of the hood, do the butterflies on the scoop do anything but look pretty? I'm asking more about carbed motors since the carbs would still have to have the throttle plates after/downwind of the venturies and jets?

If your throttle body is a removable module, removing it and using the butterflies on a scoop is another way to regulate the air intake.

While looking for that, I also found this super low-cost way to easily convert from a carb. to EFI on top of your blower. Dig the price!
