The Vortech Super FMU replaces your sock regulator and is infinitely adjustable. You can set it for any ratio you want. The nice thing about it is it's great for "staged" set-ups. You can start with a stock ECU and a cheap piggyback (like an SAFC) and run a high ratio. Then, when you get injectors and a standalone, you turn it down. I don't use them as a tuning solution, just as a part of the whole package.

he's using a standalone, so with the proper injectors he won't need a rrfpr
those regulator do work, but it'sa crude way of injecting more fuel

Redz, all you need is the FPR that I showed you. It has an adjustable base pressure, than a 1:1 ratio as Denis explained. Its all you need, keep it simple. tongue.gif

What do you guys think about Turbonetics for wastegates?

What do you guys think about this FPR? It's a "compact" one, and only single port in and out, but it should work too right?

Just wondering, I'll probably go for the polished one posted earlier.

And this is a local deal on a Greddy boost controller, what do you guys think?

^^ Why buy a separate boost controller? It's not much to wire up the MS to be your boost controller.

Well, I didn't know the MS could do boost control too, or what's needed to do so. Kinda the point of this thread. LOL

Tell me more Mikey.

QUOTE
Hardware features on the 'base' unit:
- All of the optional v3.0 circuitry protection components installed.
- Injector flyback and synchronous rectifier circuitry installed.
(means you can run low impedance injectors if you want/need to).
- The standard MS 2.5bar MAP sensor.
(2.5 bar is the range from an absolute vacuum... so that means you need to subtract an entire atmosphere. Or in more simple terms, it's good from complete vacuum to 21.755 psi of boost. 21psi Not enough!? No problem, i have internally mounted 3 and 4 bar options available).
- Two built in Fairchild Semiconductor ignitors to directly drive the stock wasted spark coils or any other 4cyl wasted spark coil pack/s.
- Tachometer driver circuit.
- Electric cooling fan relay control circuit.
(both the on and off temps are independently programmable).
- 3 wire PWM idle valve control.
(closed loop idle control).
- A/C control.

That's the thing I really like about the megasquirt. It's fully scalable and adaptable to any changes/tuning you do to your car. You just put the damn turbo on, activate the auto tuning, then drive it to your local dyno or 1/4 mile test-n-tune night and have fun.

The only sucky part about the megasquirt is it only is capable of 58psi FTL boo!

^^^
Nothing you just quoted or said had ANYTHING to do with any questions I asked in this thread. Shut up. Next one is a warning DTN, and you get another vacation.

WHEW!

Youguys had me concerned there for a second, I checked out the picture with the round holes this morning to see what you were talking about, and I can't believe I didn't notice that in those pics before. I checked mine at home last night and yes, I've got the oval shaped holes, nothing like the holes in that picture.

So, that problem is solved.

Now, let's get some of the above questions answered so i can keep picking up parts.

To CLARIFY FOR DTN, I asked about Turbo Timers and Boost Controlers, and MS running them.

I didn't ask about anything you posted about. I KNOW about the built in MAP sensor, I"M RUNNING MAP!!! I KNOW about the independent FAN control, I'm RUNNING IT!! I know about the AC and Idle control, I'M RUNNING THEM.

Here's the link I forgot to post.

The one Nate is using for his kits is a little cheaper and seems to be the same thing. I forget which number it is though. Its still Aeromotive with the -6 fittings.

For the MS I think you just need the solenoid and then wire it in. I know mine should be coming with it and Java should know all about how to do it I would assume.
