It's a stock SR20DET Brain
There are alot of options for management as we get alot of blitz, apexi & mines tuned ecu's for this engine at reasonably good prices direct from Japan
The engine registers a consistant 210HP@8PSI

Yes It is an elantra bay.... I own an elantra...
Also tuners... Regarding cost, the swap, intercoooler, guages, brake upgrade, suspension etc.... We pay in the range of 1500US to about 4000US depending on the type of engine you want

Out of curiosity, did you do the sr20 dett swap for the wow factor or really for power reasons?

I don't know whether to be hurt, offended, or just plain pissed off.... The tib has proven itself time and time again. Don't believe me do a search. 500+hp monsters are running all over korea and some parts of australia, we have a couple in the us too. There are parts available for anything you need (from intakes to forged pistons to close gear dog ratio trany's). Sure there a little harder to find if you don't look very hard, but look its there. And if you need more proof remember where our engine comes from--the 4G63 mitsu block that has been running 9's and lower for a decade at the track and driving home afterwards. Seals can break, pistons crack, and belts dissappear to who knows where and the block survives. I heard and seen story after story of detonating 4G63 blocks that survive to see another day. Get a moderator to delete me if anything Ive said is wrong but don't Knock a Block you don't understand and haven't learned to appreciate.

naw green_machine your post isnt going to be deleted, i feel the same way.
The beta does just fine with boost and most of the aftermarket parts are the same price if not cheaper than the SR20DET
Not to mention it boosts hyundai's reputation everytime sees a sick boosted hyundai engine.
But if he just did it for the wow factor or is just used to the SR20DET and feels more comfortable working on that then thats fine, i just dont want to hear this nonsense about the Beta being an unworthy platform

One of the main reasons they do this swap down there is, if I remember the story right, they get the 1.6L Alpha in their Hyundai's. The swap is cheaper than trying to get a 2.0 shipped.
