Default Sparkplugs and turbo

Ive read on a few different articles that using a 2 step colder plug when going turbo is good, and you should gap it .0005 higher than factory specs because at a higher psi levels, you can blow through the gap. Is this true or do you all use the factory specs for your plugs when going turbo?

Depending on how much boost and cfm rating of your turbo depends on the size gap you run and which heat range plug will work well.

Usually on a mid size turbo 400-500cfm under 14.7 psi you can run 1-2 step colder, gapped around .030-.035" on stock ignition system.

For example, my setup is rated at 600cfm at 14.7. I run 22-24psi on 2 step colder gapped to .023 on stock ignition. Reason is because the spark isn't strong enough to det at a larger gap under so much boost.

Now if your running msd ign, you can increase gap size due to higher discharge.
