i was thinking about gettin a loan for turbo on the ol rd. but after reading up a lil it seems that even if i peiced together a small kit i will have to make it all under 3000 and thats with gettin it put on and tuned. now this doesnt seem possible for only 3000. and even if i did somehow get it done i would cost an extra 120 bucks a month for the next 3 years ( which is actually when the payments on the car will be done.

anyone have any thoughs on if i should do something like this? or should i just wait till i can get more money together and try to do this later on down the road...

Later down the road.

Don't take out a loan just to satisfy your wants. Boosting is an expensive satisfaction. Theres always going to be incuring costs after you put it together. Also there are maintances costs aswell. If I were you, save up and don't commit yourself to paying monthly for a loan which you don't need. Finish your car payments, while doing so start buying individual parts, once your payments are done put your project together.

DONT TAKE A LOAN OUT!!! and dont rack up your credit cards.. not fun..

once you do decide you want to piece something together, or have lil money at a time, PM me, i can help ya with some stuff, and i can help installing most of the stuff also, and give ya some pointers, things to expect, etc.

it will depend on your setup, on what the cost would be.. you could go the cheap route, push about 7psi, with minimal fuel management, and prob get away with a full setup for under 2000$, or you could go all the way and spend 6000$ + building motor, custom everything, etc.

if you have some xtra $$$ right now, i will give you a SUPER deal on my old turbo, couplers, and stuff

If you can afford to pay out an extra $120 a month for the turbo why not use that extra money to pay off the car loan sooner? You will save lots of money on interest and once it's paid off you can save up for the turbo much more quickly.

^^^ thats what i'm doing. i'm doing over double payments, and as soon as its done, the money i would normally be spending on the car, just starts going towards parts. ya never know when something is going to come up and ur gonna need some cash on hand.
