In a single rail setup to run 20+ pounds of boost you will have to use some pretty big injectors. The bigger the injectors the more you have to tune them down. And tuning down 800cc injectors by piggybacking the ecu can be trying. You may have to use too low readings for the MAF that the ecu wont like.
To give you an idea, 20psi will give you somewhere in the neighborhood of 350 crank horsepower. A simple injector calculator will tell you that a turbochaged vehicle making 350 crank horsepower will be best using something like 720cc injectors with 4 injectors.
On the otherhand with a dual rail setup I can run my stock 240cc injectors with something like 500cc secondary injectors and not have off boost tuning to do.

yep, alex pretty much sums it up..
you will wanna go with a dual fuel rail setup, and some 340-500cc secondaries, and will just have to tune under boost, which is really nice.
the way my second rail is set up right now, my 340cc's pulse 2X for every pulse, so theyre working like 640cc's.
you will not have any luck, if any using the single rail setup, without using a standalone system.

single rail with only a piggyback... not a chance!!! you'll need crazy large injectors (which is expensive and in turn, way harder to tune)... the MAF will limit you

so... how much boost can i run on a single fuel rail with 550cc's with the smt-6? my engine just got fully rebuilded low com pistons on it.
how u hook up a manual boost controller on a internal wastegate turbo set up?

its nt about just boost, there are lots of other factors.... like what turbo what size exhaust, how big is the FMIC etc...
the maf stops reading flow ~ 300 WHP of flow
beyond that you can try to go MAP but the tune wont be as accurate

zekron,
it seem like you havent really have done your homework or even used the search funtion (in this site) for your issues, ehhhh?
viper is right... boost (in psi, bar or etc) is a subjective issue of all of the other components (including the engine itself) so for the max boost that you can pump out of the 550's on your setup, you just have to do a good old trial and error yourself, mang
the boost controller goes in between the IM boost/vacuum source and the wastgate

guys, hes in jersey, they have pretty tough emissions standards. Im sure he wants his car LEGAL.
dual rail, with the stock injectors and you can still pass inspection and emissions easy.
And he hasnt posted here since he made the thread, so its pointless to keep giving him advise that hes probably not taking.
