OP, thanks for bringing this up, because i do not know the answer, i am intrerested to know it. Also how much are our fans worth, i got two, and if i have to get rid of one for the turbo, i am gunna sell it to my friend....

I don't think stock fans worth anything, maybe $10 lol

HP has the slim line fans. That way you have bother fans even with a turbo. One of the fans is for your AC and the second is for regular cooling I believe. I wouldn't remove one of them without the fear of overheating. A set of the slim lines are about $200 I think.

i ran all year @ over 300 WHP with only one fan and never overheated

shit it was even the A/C fan on the driverside cuz its smaller... i melted a slimline fan near my turbo... stupid thing was glowing pretty hard after a track day.... gonna get some alum fal fans in the spring

What manifold/turbo are you guys using? I'm using the SSAutoChrome manifold along with a .48/.55 T3 (if memory serves), and I have PLENTY of space for the stock fans.

i use the autozone slim fans in arizona... and they are 1.5 " deep 12" diamater... cost me 50 bucks tongue.gif

p.s. i mounted mine in FRONT of the condensor and it gave me LOTS of room in the engine bay tongue.gif

Maybe this question is really stupid, I don't know, just never read anuthing about it before...
Is there any reason to have the fans not in front of the radiator but inside the engine bay? Could you just move them to the front between the rad and the front end or is there any negative effect in doing so?
