Default Short dumptube cause tunning problems?

A friend of mine is running an external wastegate setup and has no place to run his dump tube other than maybe 6 or 7 inches and then into the downpipe. Im probably going to have a similiar set up. Will this be a problem for tunning? I heard it causes to much turbulence and is a problem for tunning. Thanks in advance

You can run in into the downpipe with little issue, but if you want you can just run it open, thats what most people do, plus it sounds alot better, I myself just run the open dump tube off a 38mm TiAL. It is nice, i like the loud woush sound as you make more boost through the rpms!
