Please do hamhead, I just don't think a lot of people trust them. I mean they took a nice long break, so maybe they reorganized for the best, but it'll take a while to get their name back.
That is another reason I'm kinda tough on this kit. Personally I think they need to be very careful in how they pitch a product now due to their lack of trust. Explain everything to the best of your ability and then some, that is the only way IMO.

By no means am I saying that I would buy that over Tim's, since they are virtually the same price once you include the intercooler. The argument that "Shark Racing, you'll never get the product if you pay for it" is pretty much gone I think. If they would include a few more details on the product and drop it down to 2200ish with a remapped ECU for our cars, it would probably be worth the buy.

It's a shite kit.
Look at the add ons, core charge and such.
WORD.
Yup, these are for BETA II's, so no, they won't work for us. Different ECu's, different lots of stuff.
1. You don't read enough, there's been complaints lately, 2 months to recieve items and such.
2. Almost NO ONE buys from them anymore, so how would you hear of anything?
3. Their headers suck ass. ABQElantra has one and is replacing it ASAP.
Some smaller items, yes, you order them, and recieve. Many OTHER items, you don't get for long times. Hell, I've said it before and will again, look at their BBB record. They refuse to even respond to most of the complaints, so why the hell would you deal with them?

01-05 Elantras had Beta IIs I thought... actually its not very pricey since it comes intercooled and with a remapped ECU.

I haven't heard of a single problem about SR since the olden days of HP... people that ordered their lambo door kits, etc. had no complaints. I personally might try their 4-1 header.

Thanks for the info on the header... it seemed decent in the pics, but since no one really buys from them I didn't really have an "opinion." LOL.
Taking two months to recieve an item isn't that bad... its better than never getting it. tongue.gif I guess they're maybe slowly getting a little better. Might take that long since they don't keep that many in stock since no one buys from there.

Redz, I'm not trying to stand up for SR or anything b/c everyone has there own experiences, but I have bought stuff from them for over four years (body kit, coil overs, lambo doors, etc.) and I have NEVER had a problem with them, shipping and contact issues included. All the products I have recieved are quality; they are one of the first places that made products available for our cars and it is not fair to discount their credibility just because at one point they had some problems...
and how do you know that the turbo kit is crap? Have you ever seen it in action? know anyone that has it? I do agree that Speed Factor's turbo kit would be a better choice b/c that what he is mostly known for, unlike SR that sells a million different products.

A month ago I would have said the same if asked... now i tell you
DON'T BUY FROM SHARKRACING
I had ordered in the past many times with no problems, since I don't live in the US and my things always came from Korea, I thought it was OK.
Lasto month I ordered a set of aluminum pedals, and the rest pedal, for a total of nearly 80 bucks.
A week after I ordered them I received an e-mail telling me my order had been shipped and should arrive in 15 days (all my Kspec orders always arrived in 7-10 days, but whatever I thought, I'll just wait).
After 19 days had passed, I e-mail them 3 times, and all the times I received NON-DELIVERABLE notices from a server (and I don't have email issues with David Kspec also in Korea nor no-one else).
The 4th e-mail I told them that I would inform my bank to NOT pay the transaction "if I didn't get any answer from them in the next 3 days"; guys if I didn't get an answer, not the product. I recieved as usual the non-deliverable message, but magically, got a very unpolite response calling ME unprofessional and other stuff, and that I should know that I live in Peru and stuff takes longer to come here How would I know that if no one tells me and I receive an authomatic email telling me I will receive my product?
Plus, how could he answer my e-mail if supossedly he didn't get it?
Even though I consider their e-mail insulting, I did not tell the bank to not pay since I am a correct business player and they deserve to get pay if they ship.
Guess what? I did get nothing at all; and it's been a month. So I got ripped because I didn't listen the advice of all the people here.
DON'T BUY FROM THEM. mad.gif

If you order from them, ask Brad about the parts he owes me. eyeroll.gif Yeah, I'll never again do business with any of the folks at Shark Racing. If they were reputable don't you think they would be here talking about there stuff. Yes, Yamanenko has an account here, but he came around for about a week, asked me for website help and offered parts, then dissapeared after his sites were done.

Well fantastic, you are one of like 8 people, out of the thousands of Hyundai Tuners out there, that never had an issue. Im' glad you didn't.

AOL was one of the first nationwide internet providers, they still suck ass though. What's your point?

Well, let's see. They are selling a kit, and show the manifold. And that's IT. Even THAT manifold is a crappy design. No specs on anything, so expect to get the smallest intercooler you've ever seen, and the turbo will probably be one that came out of a cracker jack box. The stage 1 is listed for 170 WHP. For $2700 dollars? Don't forget to add on the $150 for the ECU Core Charge, and oh, your car prolly won't pass emissions. No note of that is there? If their name is on it, they didn't make it, and it's probably crap. 95% of the time, that's correct.

Have you ever seen it in action?
Nope, and probably never will. Thank god!

It's been on the site for like a week doode, do YOU know anyone that has it?
Keep buying from them shiesters if you want, sooner or later, they WILL get you. I have BEEN to Shark Racing in Korea, and no one in Korea has ever heard of them. Sam, the owner, is only in it for the money, and could care less about what happens to anyone.
As for what my Z Bro said, he's right. Look at all the trouble they constantly have with emails. Of course, yours got through right?
their manifold isnt as bad as it looks...
Actually it looks pretty efficient.. Its not equal length, but atleast all the runners are lined up, something thats pretty rare amongst beta manifolds.
Problem...
The manifold sticks out a bit too much.. youll have fitment issues on an RD. The XD has A LOT more room to play with.. so it will fit fine in that engine bay.
As far as intercooler and piping.. that wont fit either (xd remember).
Of course you can custom tailor the kit for a reasonable price.
If your really interested i would contact sam directly and ask him to see if there is an RD version.
Expect delays,.. expect all beta turbo related products to have some kind of delay regardless of company...
