Default S-AFC Turbo setup

Ok, i'm thinking of just doing a basic turbo.
What parts would i need.

so far i have a S-AFC, so
1. Bigger injectors?
2. Fuel Pump?
3. Turbo Manifold?
4. T3 turbo?

Also i'm not sure about a intercooler, especially if its down at 8psi or something. But what sort of power can i expect out of this type of setup?

I know onpol had a s-afc turbo before, but i can't find the post.

I have tried 440c injectors ont he stock fuel pump.

I have tried 440c on a high flow fuel pump.

I have tried 440cc on a high flow pump with a new fpr.

I have tried stock injectors on a high flow pump and a fpr

Stock injectors on a stock fpr with a high flow pump.

SAFc blows for controling the low. You will be stuck with good power above $3k and a ****ty idle.

You shoudl look into an smt5 around the sam pricing. or a greedy e-manage.

Actually, the S-AFC is perfectly adequate on 440cc injectors and either an Eclipse fuel pump or a 2nd gen RX7 fuel pump. It will not work with higher fuel pressure, or with a fuel pump that flows SO much that it artificially raises fuel pressure.

On 440cc injectors, you'll need to set up the S-AFC as you normally would on the stock MAF setup:

Hotwire type 01 / 01
Ne points at 1000,2000,3000,4000,5000,5500,6000,6500
Lo / Hi bias set to 15%/95%

Lo throttle NE settings ALL at -50%
Hi throttle NE settings based on your dyno-testing needs

When properly configured, the 440cc injectors on stock pressure with the S-AFC set as above will result in stock idle that will even pass sniffer emissions. Several people from the old FXTreme boards used this setup with good results, on both supercharged (Rimmer SC) and turbocharged (custom) setups.

The only problem is, the Greddy E-Manage and the SMT5 have the same upper and lower limits as the S-AFC for fuel tuning. You cannot add more than 50%, and cannot subtract more than 50%.

The problem is because you're dealing with the stock computer, and as such you cannot send it too little or too much voltage or it gets pissy.

If you run 440cc injectors, along with a huge fuel pump so your static pressure is like 60+psi, then you are now running around 560cc+ injectors. 560 - 50% = 280cc, which is larger than the stock 245cc parts. This results in bad fuel economy and especially bad idle and low-RPM driveability.

If you stick with 440cc injectors on STOCK fuel pressure, then 440 - 50% = 220, which is well within the 245cc expected from the stock parts.

Get the picture? SMT5 and the E-Manage will be having the same problems as the S-AFC.
