Default Redoing Turbo set up

I decided to redo my turbo set up seeking the 400WHP mark(i topped 298 WHP with my set up).I already sold my manifold, pipes and intercooler and i already bought a Spearco bar and plate IC 30x10x3 (the one i was using is 22x8x2 1/4).I will redo and reroute the pipes and get a manifold from CNK.The intake manifold is getting a 70mm bore with a matching TB from Ford. Also i'm looking into swaping the tranny or get a Good clutch. The clutchmasters stage 4 already gave up so i need something drastic and in the $500 neighborhood.
I have look in to this units as a choice but need someone who have tried it to confirm it can withstand serious HP.I need a MF pressure plate.

Any suggestions?

Any one have word from ACT?

onpol, I dont know if you get them in your area. But I would start looking at the Evo 7 transmission.

With some slight mods. You can convert it to FWD and it will bolt to the BETA engine.

This solves a few problems smile.gif
stronger gears, better gearing.

And a clutch system capable of 400whp+

But the transmission price will be like an easy $2k. It may drop since the lancer is in the states now. after a few years.

Or go with a Multiclutch.

Thou thats gonna suck on the street.

I cannot 100% guarantee it, but the 4-puck cerametallic clutch that HVE/RPW sells is supposedly good for that power. It will also dig a 4-8mm trench into your flywheel and pressure plate after about 20,000 miles because the damned thing is so evil

You going with the same turbo but better piping? Or a bigger turbo alltogether?

RED- Yes i will be using the same turbo for now.I'm running 20 psi now planning on crank it up to 30psi the max the 3 bar MAP can take if i don't get the desired power i will swap a 60-1 compressor side to my turbo.I know my 2 major power limiters were the clutch and the TB so i'm optimistic i can get near my goal.
I will need the info on the Crower rods now cuz i definatelly need rods just to make sure it will no blow on me.The work sheet will be very usefull cuz i'm using exacly the same pistons you have so the order specs is exacly the same.

I've seen your vid a long time ago. That thing's BAAAAD! Keep up the good work! smile.gif

Shaddoh, are you sure the Evo 7 tranny would bolt up? What about EVO 4-6?

Multi disk.

The 4 puck clutches will not hold that kind of power with the weak @ss stock pressure plate setup.

Will the turbo still be in its efficency range at 30 psi?

Good luck... no reason you can't make 400 WHP.
