By now you surely have read Viper's post on possibly creating a turbo kit for us - which receive a LOT of support, but he didn't have a way to tune it, which is a significant challenge for most of us. That's where I come in. We've created a new turbo tuning solution in Korea since all the new Korean cars have been converted to MAF sensors like in the US. It is a direct stock ecu swap with a flashed unit and splicing only 4 wires in the engine bay. Talk about EASY. The ecu gods in Korea can actually tune our ecu into a turbo ecu that can even accomodate the air loss from a BOV. Amazing stuff. PLUS this ecu option is affordable.

Viper and I discussed the kit in great detail last night including pricing. Our goal is to have it right around $3000. I think that's even less than the Alpine kit. This kit will be immensely better than any other turbo kit available for our cars because not just because of the engine management, but especially from the hi-grade parts from Viper. We plan to feature a Garrett T3 Super 60 turbo, front mount intercooler, 2.5" piping, BOV, and more. I'll let Viper chime in for the rest of the details.

We expect horsepower output to be ~200-220whp, which is about 50whp over the Alpine kit. I believe this number may be underated and dyno-dependent since I dynoed my Alpine kit in the states to 216whp (after getting it tuned) and on the dyno here I only put down 176whp. To give you a better idea, a stock tiburon on his dyno only puts down 105whp. So... expect about a 100% power gain.

Who's in?

This is more compelling than the Alpine kit. More because I trust RdTib members more then I trust Alpine and I think support from you guys would be much greater. Now if only you guys did lay-away or something wink1.gif

Now would you be selling other parts, such as the new ECU alone from the rest of the kit for those who already have a turbo setup?

im still working out the details as to exactly what i will be running turbo wise etc... but it will be a nice kit

im thinking im gonna do the champion cast iron manifold...

that thing is bulletproof and since every1 will be the same quaulity will be up there, and i wont have to worry about manifolds cracking and making me look like an asshole

i may to the super 60 or i may do the gt28r im not 100% on which one yet....

If the ECU is reasonably priced, I will def. be dumping the piggyback for the new ECU.

This is great. I'd like to see two options. A kit that puts out about 200whp and one that puts out 300whp. Since our stock cranks can withstand that kinda boost, and the piston and cam options we have, along with the new tranny options that recently became available....we could end up having some GREAT high performance cars. Really makes me wish I had $10,000+ I could drop im my car.
