Sounds interesting. But why would you need this if you have a properly sized turbo on your car?

 

Because "properly sized" isn't a know quantity. My roommate's Camaro, which is set up to run high-9's, has a huge turbo that makes it better suited to drag racing than street driving. The quick-spool lets him drive it on the street.
