Default Question on Custom piping

I was wondering where you guys who did your own custom turbo kits get your piping done at? Were you guys able to find people to do it locally and how did find them (ie phone book, internet?)or was it some one from outta state?

What kind of material do you use for the piping and how much am I expecting to pay? Thanx in advance

I fabricated my own boost piping, downpipe and exhaust.

Generally boost piping is made from aluminum 2.25-2.5" diameter works well. Exhaust is usually stainless if you don't want something cheap. Go 3" if your going for boost.

The higher quality you want the more expensive it will be. I would estimate custom aluminum boost piping w/couplers and T-Bolt clamps and stainless exhaust w/downpipe would cost you around $1500-2000 depending on where you go.

You can fab up your intercooler piping with a few different bends from a universal piping kit, just make sure when you cut bead roll the lips so your piping dont blow off under boost, for my downpipe what i did was all pie cuts pieced together with a slight bend at the flange welded it and heat wrapped it, my buddytig welded it for me came out great and strong, but ya jyst get your self a universal kit of piping and get creative, for couplers use at least 3 ply silicon, and nice quality tbolt clamps, worm claps will not hold, and cheap t clamps just suck.
