Ok car has been running great past week no problems at all.

I boosted the car today and I blew my oil dipstick out sprayed oil everywhere. Now this happened because the crank must have been pressurized 02.gif

Now the thing is my catch can lines have been the same way since I have been boosted which is PCV going into the Intake manifold and the other vent going to the catch can.

Things I have tried today.....

Routing both lines to the catch can.

Replacing PCV valve

Both made no difference. Went for a run same thing happened.

I then did a compression test 180-176-179-180 all across which is good and normal for 8.5.1 pistons.

I then checked the coolant no signs of oil in the overflow tank or Rad

No signs of loosing coolant

Nothing going into the catch can

Then drained the oil to inspect for anything out of the ordinary. looked fine

Car is not smoking anymore then usual
Any idea why I am suddenly pressursing the crank?

Actually, this may be a turbo issue. Are you using that GT30 you got yet?

I replaced the O-Rings as it looks as though the heat from the turbo manifold did the job on them.

The new O rings held the dipstick in tight for the first Half hour but once the heat got to it the dipstick was easier to remove and the same thing happend again, but still spit the oil out although the dipstick didn't seem to be blown all the ways out like the first time.

Yes I am using the GT30

Alright I am going to do a leak down test today. Anybody know the "safe" or "usual" percentage they should be?

Using tigerlilly pistons not sure what the ring gap was on them factory specs I guess? Rings were on the pistons when I recieved them.

THanks

Gary!
A leak down test is a good idea and if you score up to 5% in drop your motor is good....
When i did mine it was like 1-2 % across

Ok leakdown test was performed.
on a Cool engine.
scored 8-10% all across.
compression test showed 180-177-179-180

Where are all big turbo tib guru's to help with this problem?
Any suggestions?

i don't know much about turbo's but i wanna help soo here goes... if im wrong or sound stupid you know why.

is there anyway your turbo can leak or put pressure through your oil feed line? (im assuming its oil cooled through your oil pan) maybe there is something wrong with the turbo. bad seal or something..

also pcv valves can and will be bad after buying them brand new. maybe you have way to much pressure on it and it malfunctions.

the only way i think the crank can be pressurized is through your valve seats, bad turbo, bad pcv, or anywere air can be introduced to your oil.

just tryin to help good luck
