Hey guys... I am trying to finalize a list for pricing on a turbo setup.
Here's what I'm looking at:
Obx Turbo Manifold
Evo III Big 16g Turbo
Polished SS Dump Tube
2.5" downpipe
2.5" FMIC piping
FMIC
Oil Lines
Coolant Lines
Intake Pipe
Intake Filter
Forge Blow off Valve
-Everything above I would like to purchase Viper...I believe his post said $2750
ECU upgrade kit from Airborne (i'm not sure, but i believe i read somewhere that he'll do it for $900)
Apexi EGT Gauge $221.00
Apexi Boost Gauge $112.20
AEM Universal Fuel Pressure Regulator 168.51
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump $103.97
ACT Street Clutch w/ Heavy Duty pressure plate $330.68
-Everything above is from Hyundai Performance
Greddy 550cc Fuel Injectors Universal 02.gif $507.24
Tigerlily Turbo Pistons (8.5:1 compression) $399
Grand total of $5,424.28
Does this sound resonable to everyone?
I am open to ANY suggestions on different parts. Also, does anybody know of where to get gauge pods and can anyone recommend a wastegate?
What kind of psi should I be able to run with a setup like this?
What kind of boost would I be able to run if I went solely with a turbo head gasket and forget about the pistons?
I know this is alot of questions, but I could use some good feedback on this.
Thanks

A well set up turbo should cost somewhere around there but you are overpaying for some things. For the gauges your paying alot so it seems like you want accuracy, go defi.
Also the injectors are a lil overpriced go to racetronix for some cheap but good injectors
525cc for ~$200 for 4 HERE
The clutch you could get for 200 by going with gripforce clutches on ebay or get the flywheel kit for the same price.
For the wastegate i like turbonetics, but Tial is nice too.

What about a boost controller or turbo timer? Unless you don't mind if your turbo gets coked up.
I got a Greddy Profec B-Spec II and a Greddy Turbo Timer for $430(shipped) from www.sgpracing.com.

^$430???! Damn.
I think the greddy turbo timer is a little over $100 and you can get a good manual boost controller for about $40. If you want to spend more then you can get an electronic one.

i second that, damn. just get an apexi turbo timer, nothing special
and unless you really really really need to change your boost setting inside the car just get a PRD MBC

there is a HKS turbo timer in for sale right now for like half what people are talkin about here...
instead of buyin the boost guage and EGT
look up the zietronix unit
it is a wideband with a built in boost readout and egt read out on a digital display
i think its like 400 for the complete unit with all the sensors and its a wideband...
