Well after my overhaul of the tib's turbo kit I'm up to 10 psi and running pretty good. I thought, hey I'll try 12.
So I richen up my map a little and turn the mbc up to 12. Well I take off down the highway and punch it in 3rd. It hits 10 psi and passes it but then immediatly drops back to 10. Kind of a surging effect.
Current Setup:
T3 super 60 internal gated
10 psi
dsm 1g bov
stock fpr (I had a begi in there but removed it by dennis's recommendation)
gsx fuel pump
440cc injectors
smt-6
maf just before tb
new 1 step colder plugs with lower gap
my question is do you think it's blowing out spark or running out of fuel? .....or could it be the bov not holding boost?

im not sure on what that bov holds uncrushed but it should be more than that. i was thinking fuel pump but what does the car feel like? is it a jerking due to fuel cut maybe or does it just bog down?

well... I think the dsm 1g is supposed to hold 16 psi.
anyways the fuel ratio stays steady, so I originally thought blowing out spark. But I'm no expert so I thought it possibly could be a fuel pressure drop and the aem wideband doesn't pick it up.

I doubt it will be your fuel pump. The gsx fuel pump can handle enough flow for that. Also, the stock fpr should be fine with that much boost. People who run the dual rail setup still run the stock fpr with a 190 pump. I would check your bov from there, seems to be the only issue you may be having. Also, what gap are you running on your spark plugs?

^^ I can't remember on the gap. I'll have to check later. I just dropped it by like .1mm or so. Whats the stock? 1.1mm? if it's that then it's set to 1mm. I'll have to check the service manual. I was kinda thinking bov but I didn't hear any blow off. Wouldn't it make a pop like a hose coming off or something?
wires - they are those prd ones.. maybe 30k
I do need to check for pipe leaks......
dtn: mbc is manual boost controller, my wastegate is set at 5.

how old are the plug wires?
did you check for leaks in the piping?

it very well be a fuel issue... have you got a wideband?
usually when a spark is blown out at high rpm/boost they'll be some backfiring
