ahh, when one says dip, i was thinking a pool of liquid plastic and just the first few millimeters on the face are dipped to prevent rock chips...





but again, coating the entire IC sounds like the wrong thing to do.



Turbosocks, did you paint both sides of the IC on your "neon" ?? lol...

no, i just sprayed the front lightly to get the look i wanted.. and after looking at the data, it didn't really affect the air intake temps.



again, spraying the front of the IC with paint or plasti-dip is not going to cause any REAL world harm. yes, the intake temps WILL rise a few degrees, but not significant enough to affect 95% of the people on here or in the 'street' scene.





throwing a blanket over the IC and painting it (even the entire thing) are much different.. haha
