Hey random, is that your car? I thought you said you have a 1.8 motor and from the looks of the head cover it seems to be a beta2. Is it destroked err what?
You can't tell a 1.8L from a 2.0L from looking at it. The only differences are con rods, crank, and pistions. Hey random, is that your car? I thought you said you have a 1.8 motor and from the looks of the head cover it seems to be a beta2. Is it destroked err what?
That is my current beta1 2.0L the 1.8L assembly is on it's way to me, but should be done by mid june at the latest.
Well from what I've seen, all of the 2.0 liters have the uneven head cover with a silvery spark plug cover where as the 1.8 is smooth all the way across and comes with the darker plug cover. The 1.8 head cover just looks more plain (From stock of course). That's just what I've noticed. I wish I had magical powers that let me tell what literage a motor has just by looking at it

What you are describing is the external differences between the beta2 and the beta1.
