Perfect Power Smt-6 Questions

there could be your problem...for the amount of boost that you are running, you only have 1 bar map sensor...i would upgrade that first
things would get pretty complicated when I upgrade this, as this is the stock MAP sensor. I have a second 2bar MAP sensor for sensing load on the SMT-6. problem is my car is reaching its map limit. that's why I'm opting to have a secondary fuel rail.

keep the stock map sensor for the stock computer
and use the 2 oe 3 bar map sensor for the smt6
it works flawlessly
you might want to use a obd logguer and look at your ignition timing when your boosting to see what it look like
mostof the time stock timing is very conservative and work good with boost

yup that's what the additional MAP sensor is doing now, but I have to upgrade soon to a 3 bar one if I want to up the boost.
what I plan now is just the SMT-6 + dual fuel rails and keep building up boost to say 18 psi unti I hear knock. then maybe later when I'm still not happy, I'll get an MSD DIS.
hey Denisst99, at what horsepower level did it require to retard the timing for your car?
I'm running 25psi through my engine with the dual rail kit and MSD only to modify the spark, no ignition timing as of yet. You CAN hook the MSD up to the SMT, but there are some things that need to be worked out.
Yes you can use the SMT6 to control timing at the same time as using extra injectors.
You need to add a differentail Amplifer on the Crank Sensor. See the definative wiring guide to Smt6 for a schematic on how to make one.
Thanks
Brett
