Non mandrel bent tubing for hotside
whats the thoughts on using this type of pipe for the pre turbo hotside parts. cause really its not about flow potential since its all pressurized correct? would it matter if the pipes had slight retrictions in them?

So you are talking about an exhaust manifold? Any uneveness is going to cause turbulance and increase backpressure and slow spooling time. Whether or not it will be a significant ammoutn or not, I am not sure. I have never seen a non mandrel bent EM, but I would say after the turbine, it isnt' quite as important. Though it can't be much worse than an OEM log EM, I am not sure if it would be weaker with hot spots???

A 2.5" crush bent pipe is going to flow way less then a mandrel bent pipe of the same size ... you will notice it. But if your going through all the motions of doing it ... do it right, don't skip out on the important parts.
