Default NEW DYNO RESULTS - UPDATE as of today 01/23/03

Well since some of you out there didn't believe my last post, I have the final low boost tuning (I'll explain later)...

Here they are:

Final tune

And if you want to see a small clip of it go here:

http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4291512973

it's the last file on that album, some of you might have to spend 1 minute opening an account, but it's quick...

I'm waiting to hear from TONY(Random), so I can ask him something regarding high boost...

I will put it this way, our MAF's might have a limit if going any higher than this, but I have to verify if Omar had the same problem...

but here's the proof guys...

Also, they sorta calculated what it should be at the flywheel and it was 299.5 but another guy told us that's the wrong calculation and it's more like 320.0

Cool dyno batlord.

Nice steady climb.

Power at the flywheel is not that high. Its probably more liek 280 crank hp.

No way is the Transmission eating 50-70 hp.
It would melt.

Again, I stress, becareful launch, at that power you could shred your stock diff. Assuming you sitll have the stock diff.

I think random did mention limit with the MAF, being a 22lbs a min ? If it draws then that in in the min. it CELs.

When do you start making boost? at what rpm.

And at what rpm for you make final boost?
From the dyno it appears you start making boost at 3200rpm and peak at 4500rpms ?

thanks, well from the calculations, normally you lose about 15% so doing the calculations, you're about 298-299 hp... so I think they're about right

Nice power its the first time in ages ive followed the links to your car its smart as hell and nice to see its got awesome power to match the looks. Your subs, piping, dials and now power all are great. Just one question your piping in the engine bay did you get it that colour or did you spray it yourself, If you could just mail me with the info(so i dont take this thread away from the power graphs) as its something im looking at doing but i want to get it just right and that is shinny as hell.

It will be interesting to see exactly how your car handles the power as i plan to up mine in the future, I also have stock transmission and diff (i think you do) but will have a KORE clutch soon. So if yours is fine hopefully mine will be.

It starts making boost at about 3200 like you said, but the top we're not too sure, from the dynos it's around 4500 or so, but the problem we were having was the shutting off at 4500 so we don't know if once the MAF disappears, if we can get it to make power till much much higher...

Talked to TONY, and it does seem that the MAF is the universal problem at that type of power, so for those hoping to hit 300 whp just keep this in mind... also don't go too much by the euros and koreans, since remember they have a MAP sensor, and that might allow much higher HP...

P.S. I've been looking at some online HP CALCULATORS, and look at this one, I don't know what the weight of the car is but I figure around 2800-2900 I don't know...

but at 2850 it says the following:
QUOTE
Enter your car's weight and horsepower.
Weight:2850
HP: 258

Estimated 1/4 mile ET: 12.96
Estimated 1/4 mile MPH: 105.21
Estimated 1/8 mile ET: 8.25
Estimated 1/8 mile MPH: 84.98
at 3000:
QUOTE
Enter your car's weight and horsepower.
Weight: 3000
HP: 258

Estimated 1/4 mile ET: 13.18
Estimated 1/4 mile MPH: 103.43
Estimated 1/8 mile ET: 8.39
Estimated 1/8 mile MPH: 83.54

Cool.

Nice setup, nice turbo Batlord. Just becarful, you are on the tolerence limit of a lot of parts.

About the 15% that does not hold true once you created more power. Tranny zapping 15% at 140hp, wont zap 15% at 300hp.

The parasitic loss of a transmission is relatively static.

15hp at 140. I would expect 15-20hp at 300hp.

but the arguement is pointless. All that matters is wheel hp.

yep I think the 320 is too much, but still not sure on the other... oh well it's the wheel hp I care about

maybe pointless, but my driveline loss was measured at 8.3 hp on about 138 wheel hp. the dyno graph is greek to me, but here it is:

Uh. What vehicle of yours put down 138 WHP, but only 8.3 HP lost to drivetrain?

I would say that 8.3 hp lost is due to Rolling resistance, not due to drivetrain resistance.
