Narrowband to wideband?

Narrowband to wideband?
Which sensor gives narrowband readings? 1st or 2nd?
Are our narrowband readings measured in 1V interval?
What's going to happen if I get a turbo and I will be running pig rich, how will our sensor in engine bay react to that? would it throw CEL?
Can't think of anymore questions now, but more will come.
thanks smile.gif

1) First sensor gives the readings, thats why its important to install it in a header install.
2) This I'm not too sure about... Hyundai o2 sensors aren't my specialty.
3) You won't throw a CEL from running too rich. You might kill it from unburnt fuel and oil over time though. If it did, you would have a CEL right outta the factory with these cars. I'd imagine an AFC of some sort would yield 8WHP from the car right outta the box.

I believe it is recommended to add a third 02 bung to the exhaust for the wideband. The ECU can't read all the extra signals the wideband puts out. As for the voltage. No idea.
**EDIT**
I think it will throw a CEL if it stays rich for an extended amount of time. It sends this info back to the ECU and it should try to correct it. If it can't up comes the CEL.

I know how to rewire everything in order to replace the narrow band with wideband, but I wanted to get rid of second o2 sensor and put a wideband there. Wideband cannot heat up higher than 800C degrees, so I can't put it in the header. I guess I'm just gonna make a third bung.
Also I will have a CEL since I won't have any cats and replacing second sensor would make it go away, but ohhh well.
Thanks anyways.

What is it with people not installing Cat's?!?! I don't see how having a CEL is worth the $150 to not have one at all.
What about emmisions/inspection? You NEED a cat just to pass the visual part.

Yeah, not having cats is stupid. Really stupid. Guess they don't like breathing.
But, you don't need them for visual, here in NM now they just do ODBII, no visual inspection at all.

I doubt your car is going to pass the sniffer thing with no cats... They do the sniffer thing here at least. I get off with the GSX cause the guy that runs the place I go to is my uncle. Even without cats I come close to passing emissions. I don't drive it often either way, so I'm not polluting anyway. That much...
