n00b question - at what point is it time to upgrade internals?
If you decide to run low boost (4-8 psi), the internals dont need to be touched, correct? I assume once you start getting up into the higher boost ranges (10-12+ psi), then you should think about getting pistons and all that. Is there a specific hp range thats a good rule of thumb to have, to replace internal parts when boosting?
It ALL depends on the health of your engine and the skill of your tuner and tuning device. With a perfect tune 20psi is possible on stock internals. With a good tune 15 psi is possible all day long provided your engine is in good health.
I tried to not get too detail oriented because the OP is clearly a newb and I didn't want to blow his head up talking about properly sized turbos and CFM ratings. LOL
Lol sorta like the guy who thinks his stock eclipse is gonna beat my j2(when its running) cuz he's running 15 psi out of his stock turbo and I'm only running 10psi out of my holset
